Precision Agriculture & Its Effects on Soil Health

On June 28, 2022, Heartland Farms hosted a dynamic event focused on the intersection of precision agriculture and soil health. With 64 attendees representing farmers, state and county agencies, nonprofits, water protection groups, and food production companies, the event fostered a rich exchange of ideas and innovations.

Heartland Farms, in collaboration with specialists from Pheasants Forever, demonstrated how precision ag technologies are being used to identify optimal zones for crop production and nutrient application. These tools help reduce environmental impact while improving efficiency and profitability.

The event emphasized how data-driven farming can support both productivity and conservation, offering a model for sustainable agriculture in the region.
