Shared Waters, Shared Goals: Building Relationships for Water Quality

Held at Castle Rock Park in Adams County, Pontoons & Potatoes brought together 28 participants from Farmers of the Roche-A-Cri, Adams County Lake Alliance, Petenwell and Castle Rock Stewards, and the 14 Mile Watershed Alliance. This unique event created space for farmers and lakeshore property owners to connect over a shared meal and meaningful conversation.

Participants discussed their shared commitment to protecting water quality, exchanged concerns, and highlighted the actions they’re taking to restore and preserve local waterways. The casual setting fostered relationship-building and laid the groundwork for future collaboration between agricultural and lakeshore communities.
