Taste & Tradition: Celebrating Local Food and Indigenous History
On October 24, 2024, ZanBria Artisan Farms hosted a Grow & Tell farm-to-table event that blended fine dining with environmental education. Nearly 20 guests gathered to enjoy a locally sourced meal while learning about the rich Indigenous history of the Big and Little Roche-A-Cri watersheds and our ongoing efforts to protect and restore the watersheds.
The event was a collaboration with Wild Bearies, Flyte Family Farms, REAP Food Group, and the Dane County Food Collective. Meals featured local produce and celebrated Indigenous history and culture. A stunning mural by Lucid Paintings brought the watersheds to life, depicting native plants, wildlife, and landscapes. This event beautifully illustrated how food, art, and conservation can come together to inspire community action.
